Mike Bruce teaches courses in broadcasting and communication as well as manages the department's production facilities. He is a 1989 graduate of OBU's Telecommunication Department and is working toward his doctorate in Communication at the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Bruce supervises student productions such as News30 and the Bison Sports Network. In addition, he advises students on various projects and recently acted as faculty sponser for a group of students involved in a media project in Spain. Bruce has worked as a freelance TV director, technical director and photographer for high school, college and professional sporting events. He also uses his media skills to serve community groups, including the United Way of Norman, MDA, and the Shawnee City Commission. In addition to international travel with his wife Teressa, Mr. Bruce enjoys Dad and Daughter Girl Scout Campouts with his daughter Kelsey and coaching T-ball for his son Eli.
