OBU welcomed Dr. Brian Camp as the new associate professor of sociology for the 2004-2005 school year. He came here from Louisiana Tech University, where he was associate professor of family and child studies and director of the university’s Center for Children and Families. He was a Huckaby Endowed Professor and was named Outstanding Teacher of Upper-Division Courses by the College of Applied and Natural Sciences at LTU in 1998. He is currently a member of the National Council on Family Relations and a board member of the Oklahoma Council of Family Relations.
In 1984 Dr. Camp was married. He and his wife have three daughters. His wife and daughters are the primary reason for his desire to advance the well being of families in our society.
